Currently, the North Carolina General Assembly is working through new legislation (SB711) to allow for medical use of cannabis (also known as “medical marijuana”).

The team at the Carolina Hemp Hut is driving for stronger cannabis advocacy for health aspects and they would love your help.

The “NC Compassionate Care Act” currently is written to help people with the following conditions to obtain legal THC products for use in medical dosing.

  • cancer
  • epilepsy
  • glaucoma
  • positive status for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)
  • acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS)
  • amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
  • Crohn’s disease
  • Parkinson’s disease
  • multiple sclerosis
  • other debilitating medical
    conditions of the same kind
