What’s a Cannabis Joint?

Carolina Hemp Hut sells joints. In fact, we sell lots of joints. What is a cannabis joint? We mostly call them pre-rolls. A joint is a cannabis cigarette that is made by rolling ground cannabis inside a paper.

Joints are a very common and traditional way of smoking cannabis (which could exist in the form of hemp or marijuana). People like joints for various reasons, including:

1. Ease of use: Joints are very easy to roll and use, making them a convenient way to consume cannabis.

2. Discreetness: Joints are small and easy to carry, making them a discreet way to consume cannabis.

3. Socializing: Joints are often passed around in social settings, making them a communal way to consume cannabis.

4. Flavor: Smoking cannabis through a joint is one way to taste and appreciate the flavor of different strains. Some contend that the use of a water pipe or bubbler is superior – you can decide for yourself.

5. Control of dosage: Joints allow the user to control the amount of cannabis consumed which can help users to better understand their tolerance level and reduce the risk of overconsumption.

6. Feeling of relaxation: The psychoactive component of cannabis, THC, can create a feeling of relaxation in the user, which can be enjoyable. Similarly with other cannabinoids, including CBD, however, CBD and some of the other phytocannabinioids do NOT offer intoxication.

7. Medicinal benefits: Some people use joints for therapeutic or medicinal purposes, such as to manage pain, nausea, anxiety, or as an appetite stimulant.

Although it is easier to use a prepared hemp paper or similar cone for your joint rolling, there are other materials you may use. In any case, keeping the joint from being too tightly packed or too loosely packed can be a challenge at first.

Any beginner in the task of joint packing should plan on making at least 10 joints before you figure out the best method for packing a cone for yourself.

Too tight of a pack can make the joint very difficult to draw (pull in). Too loose of a pack will create a faster-burning, limp joint. Finding the happy middle for your own preferences will take a few tries.
